About Me
The philosophy behind being "The Cool Photographer" is that I will create photographs that truly make you happy. If you want traditional Cape Cod photos, I can do that. But if you want me to shoot you on your skate board, your surf board, jamming with your band, rolling around in the sand, or standing in traffic, I can do that, too. My style tends toward the photojournalistic which allows me to capture your real personality.
I love photographing teens and young adults, and one of my specialties is shooting senior portraits. I am especially excited when a senior wants to shoot in a variety of locations - to me, this is the fun part of photography for both the student and me. It can be tough to make both students AND parents happy, so I will shoot in any number of locations and in several styles, and I guarantee my clients will come away with photos that please everyone - students, parents, and all those other relatives who will want a special picture. As a natural light, location photographer, I don't (normally) shoot in a studio. I photograph you in the location(s) of your choice, usually outdoors (or in a well-lit indoor setting) utilizing available light as much as possible (though I do use flash when necessary and when photographing indoor special events). I studied photography as an undergraduate, and in the past free-lanced as a local news photographer. People always want to know what kind of camera I use; I shoot with Pentax equipment, which is, in my opinion, highly underrated. I make my primary living as a Library Director on beautiful Cape Cod. |
